HEAT YOGA SUNDAYS @ 1:30pm May 12th & 26th. May 19th OFF! Sign up sheet on the front desk!

Health and Nutrition Challenge!!! The Real Life Challenge will be 8 weeks long, starting on May 13th- July 8th.  The cost to participate is $20.  To register email Shannon at  sales@crossfit2point2.com

Here’s how it works…

We will send out a google doc to all of those participating.  This is where you will record your daily points and comments.  There are 3 points possible each day for diet, 1 for exercise, 1 for mobility/stretching, 1 for fish oils, and 1 bonus point possible each week for reflecting daily in the comments section, and another bonus point possible for completing the given weekly challenge.  The first page of the document will have all of the rules and the bonus challenge for each week.

Diet standards are as follows…20 grams of added sugar is the limit.  Any food that has over 20 grams of added sugar will take off 1 point for diet.  Yes, that means you don’t have to drive yourself crazy avoiding pretty much every food that isn’t cooked from scratch by you.  Just be sure to measure and not exceed that 20 gram limit, or you lose points!

No alcohol.  No soda.  No dairy, except butter.  Nothing fried. Beans/legumes are permitted.  Cook with only olive, coconut, or canola oils.  No starchy vegetables except sweet potatoes.  This means no white potatoes or corn.  No breads or grains except brown rice and quinoa.  Chew your gum…we don’t care…but stick to sugar free.  Honey, agave nectar, and raw cane sugars are allowed.  I know it can be hard to find even a pork roast that doesn’t have a tiny bit of ‘nitrates’ or something in it…so don’t fret about those tiny things.  We will allow anything that is noted “Less than 2% of…” which is common on many meat products.

To get your workout point each day, you must complete at least 10 minutes of active recovery.  This does not include your mobility.  If active recovery for you is walking your dog for 10 minutes, that is fine, but be honest with yourself…if your active recovery is a 10 minute run, DO IT! Mobility/stretching is just that.  10 minutes of it every day.  This includes foam rolling.

May 25th 12:00pm-May 26th 12:00pm
24 in 24 Challenge to raise money for the GORUCK/Green Beret Foundation $1 Million Challenge.

The rules are simple:
1- Teams of 2 or 3 people (depending on how many we get to commit) will attempt to complete 24 Hero WODs in 24 hours.

2- All Hero WODs will be performed Rx or scaled to individual’s ability

3- Each Hero WOD will be announced at the top of the hour, and must be completed within the hour.

4- The 24 hours will be broken up into four evolutions of six hours each. During evolutions 1 and 3, each Hero WOD will be performed by a single team member. During evolutions 2 and 4, each Hero WOD will be performed as a team – meaning that reps can be split among team members, BUT any running (and there will be running) must be performed by all team members.

5-We are doing this to honor all of the fallen Heroes who gave the ultimate sacrifice so that we could enjoy our freedom. Will this be tough? Absolutely. Is it doable? Definitely. We would like as many people as possible to commit to the full 24 hours, but if you are only able to make it during a certain time frame or have to leave and come back, that’s fine too. Just make sure you post to comments what you think you will be able to commit to so that we can have an idea for teams.

6- We will be ending the 24 hour challenge w/ the WOD that Nick created, “Donny”. This event is free of cost, but the point is to raise money for the Green Beret Foundation. We ask that if everyone who comes and participates (and spectators if they would like) would contribute a small monetary donation, at the end of our 24 hours we will make a donation in Spc Donald Nichol’s memory as a gym.

7-HAVE FUN! This event could be a great opportunity to not only honor those Heroes, but could also be a great way to get 2.2′s name out there so we encourage EVERYONE to sign up for this event. Doesn’t matter if you’re a “veteran” or a “rookie”, just sign up! We wil perform all workouts at 2.2, and welcome spectators (family, friends, kids, etc.) to come and cheer us on while we sweat it out. We will have a couple of grills going throughout the 24 hours, and bottled water and Gatorade provided as well.

Saturday June 15th Paintball Social! Sign up sheet on the front desk! Depending on people attending it will be $30-$35 per person. This will be a BLAST!
